Artist Statement

Photography has been a life journal for me to record my memories. My photos are just small pieces to shape my journal. I imagine a flip-book that would project in the last seconds of my life. I imagine all the photos I've taken, flipping all at once.

Time feels like it pauses for a moment whenever I take a photo. I love the warmth and gentleness it brings to me whenever I visit my photos again. The composition, light, and the colors collaborating with each other draw me in to create more. Flip-book animation requires many picture frames: all these picture frames are so different, but valuable to create a beautiful melody that works cohesively.
